This cenote is located 45 minutes from Valladolid; you can quickly get there by using your phone's GPS.


A beautiful cenote in Chemax

This beautiful tourist hostel is located in the town of Chemax. To get there, you must make the trip by private car or by taxi service from the city of Valladolid.


Upon entering, you will discover a little corner of the Mayan jungle, find yourself surrounded by it, and hear the sounds that this impressive place has for you.


Before swimming in the cenote, I highly recommend the guided tour. It will help you understand the traditions of the Mayan culture in broad strokes.

During the tour, you will have the opportunity to try the delicious and traditional Yucatecan dish: the cochinita pibil, served with freshly made tortillas on the comal. Delicious!!

They also have a restaurant with delicious food, temazcal, and cabins where you can spend the night surrounded by the abundant jungle.

And after a nice walk comes the best… the cenote.

This cenote is a cavern, although it has an opening in the highest part of the vault. Upon entering, you will be fascinated. This cenote has a very peculiar shape, and the crystal-clear turquoise water will call you immediately.


Recommendation: Take your camera! The water is so crystal clear that underwater videos and photos are divine.


You can visit a cenote at night!

Book early and attend with your group of friends and family. You can book a night experience, where the staff will guide you at all times, and you will be able to live one of the best nights of your life.


Without thinking twice, grab your bathing suit, a towel, and some mosquito repellant and go on adventures while supporting important community projects like this one.
